Welcome to the
Desert Wings R/C
Modeling and Flying Club
Price, Utah

Current Announcements
Next Club meeting will be Thursday April 1 at 7:00pm at the Event Center at the Fair Grounds. Come and bring your ideas for the year.
I would like to thank everyone for coming to the January meeting. During the meeting it was mentioned that we do a Cross County Fly, Balloon Pop Fly, Limbo Fly, and touch and go competition. All help would be appreciated.

Lets welcome Kenneth Nelson as a new member of the club. He used to Fly a long time ago and he got back into it.

I know it has been cold out side but don't forget that we have a heater in the building and the field has been plowed by the county. We would like for everyone to come out and fly. Even in the cold you can have fun.

Andrew will be leaving us soon to go back home to Franklin. Lets all wish him luck and great flying.

Fun Fly with potluck is scheduled for Saturday June 5th.

Fly safe and have fun!

Paul Cook asked me to link to this video on the webpage. It's a model of a B-29 bomber, running on 4 chainsaw motors.

About Us:

The Desert Wings R/C Flying Club:

We're an AMA chartered club (charter #4322) and are based in Price, Utah, right smack in the middle of an area affectionately known as "Castle Country". We have members from several locations around the Castle Country area. Our flying field is a part of the Carbon County fairgrounds. It boasts a large paved runway, a helicopter pad, and a generous pit area (with shade structures). As well as an impound, running water, and power.

Membership costs are $30.00 per year, We ask that anyone who uses (or plans on using) the field more than just a few times becomes a member. Club meetings are typically held the first Thursday of each month.

We always welcome visiting pilots, and have a nice spectator area set up with bleachers as well. If it's a Saturday morning, and the weather is good, there's a very good chance that we will be there. Come out and visit us.

If you're going to be visiting (or for club members looking to buy a new radio), to see a chart showing our most commonly used frequencies, click here (opens in a new window.)
